SBCSG Awards 2026: Announcing our Scaffolding Apprentice Nominees

We at Swansea Bay Construction Group are delighted to announce the scaffolding nominees for our upcoming awards, which will take place on 25 June at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The awards celebrate the achievements of apprentices, new entrants and emerging talent who are making a positive impact across the South Wales construction industry. This year, the Scaffolding Apprentice category features two nominees from Spartan Scaffolding, both of whom have demonstrated exceptional dedication and progression throughout their apprenticeships so far.

Spartan Scaffolding has chosen to nominate both apprentices in recognition of the hard work, enthusiasm and professionalism they have shown throughout their apprenticeship journeys. Through their willingness to learn, positive attitudes, and growing skills, both have become valued members of the team and are deserving nominees for this year’s award.

Meet our scaffolding apprentice nominees for this year’s awards:

Jack Gravell:

Jack has been a real credit to himself and a valued asset to the company. He consistently brings a positive attitude to work, always turning up with a smile and willingly taking on overtime when required. Since joining as a labourer, he has made strong progress, quickly developing his skills and confidence to become a promising scaffolder. Jack picks up tasks quickly, responds well to feedback, and continues to grow both professionally and personally. He completes his apprenticeship on a strong footing and is set to remain with the company, where he is an integral part of the team, continuing to develop his skills while consistently delivering safe and high-quality work.

Kian Rees:

Kian has impressed throughout his apprenticeship with his strong work ethic, commitment to learning, and determination to develop his skills. Over the past year, he has grown in confidence and capability, taking on new challenges and demonstrating a mature approach to his role on site. Well-respected by colleagues and supervisors alike, Kian has established himself as a dependable member of the team who consistently approaches every task with professionalism and enthusiasm. His eagerness to learn, coupled with the

progress he has made throughout his apprenticeship, has earned him this well-deserved nomination and reflects the positive contribution he continues to make to the business.
