Training Manager, Euros Griffiths.

Introducing our new Training Manager, Euros Griffiths

We are excited to announce that we have a new Training Manager on board at Swansea Bay Construction Support Group.

Euros Griffiths has been an integral part of our organisation for the past year, previously as a Training Advisor. Euros is now stepping into the shoes of Gemma Mineur, who dedicated ten years to this role. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gemma for her many years of service and we wish her the best for her future endeavours.

Gemma will be hugely missed, and made significant contributions during her tenure, including:

  • Spearheading a mentoring program aimed at enhancing the retention of new entrants in the construction industry.
  • Actively engaging with local schools to promote careers in construction, collaborating with various partners to inspire future talent.
  • Skilfully managing a construction competition that challenged students to design sustainable homes and create models using recycled materials.
  • Initiating and overseeing the annual Apprentice Awards evening, a platform to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of apprentices within our region.

Notably, Gemma’s dedication and excellence were recognised when she was nominated in the Women in Construction category at the Swansea Bay Business Awards.

Reflecting on her time with us, Gemma, said:

“After a decade in this role, it is very sad to be saying goodbye. It has been an immense privilege to contribute to the growth of the industry in numerous ways over the years. I extend my best wishes to Euros as he embarks on his new role, and I wish the company all the best for the future.”

Euros, said:

“I am excited to begin my new chapter as Training Manager. Gemma will be truly missed, and she will leave big shoes to fill. But I am ready for the challenge.”
